FR-44 Certificate of Financial Responsibility

Florida requires a FR-44 Insurance certificate state filing for drivers who have been convicted of a DUI or a DWI. FR44 Insurance is a financial responsibility insurance certificate and requires minimum limits for liability of $100,000/$300,000 for bodily injury and $50,000 for property damage. If the FR-44 Certificate is not maintained, the Department of Motor Vehicles can suspend driving privileges, ability to register vehicles in the state, and prevent the obtaining of state decals. Tax Season 2021

Here at Elementary Agency we want you to enter 2021 prepared for anything. We know 2020 is in the rear view mirror and it is not a place you would want to revisit. But there is one last thing from last year that needs handling: Tax Season! Tax Day is Thursday, April 15, 2021. You must file your 2020 tax returns by this date!  The standard deduction for 2020 increased to $12,400 for single filers and $24,800 for married couples filing jointly.   Income tax brackets increased in 2020 to account for inflation.  Be sure to review your insurance policies. Tips for taxpayers to make filing easier File electronically and use direct deposit for the quickest refunds. Check IRS.gov for the latest tax information, including the latest on Economic Impact Payments.   We are pleased to welcome David Lautermilch to the Elementary Agency team! David joined the Elementary Insurance Agency after dedicating 3 years to Avatar Property & Casualty Insurance Company . Prior to Avatar he had 7 years of experience with restaurant management in Georgia. He was a part of a number of community involvement initiatives from lunch school programs to sponsoring little league teams .  When David joined Avatar in 2017 he grew to appreciate the work-life balance of the insurance industry.  As an Underwriting Account Executive he balanced reviewing risks and analyzing comparative raters to improve the agent experience. David strives to understand his clients and help homeowners to understand the risks as carriers see them.
