A New Jersey native, Missy Schwerdt, first began working at an insurance finance company for five years. Her move to Florida introduced her to Avatar Property & Casualty Insurance where she has been working since 2019.

Originally from Rochester, NY, Douglas Irwin was introduced to sales and contact management software while working at Hightech Computer Solutions. After selling his own business, he joined the insurance industry as a Risk Management Consultant.


In his role Doug supported insurance agencies across 6 states through growing commercial insurance premiums. He is currently the Agency Principal for Elementary Insurance and is dedicated to agency growth through customer excellence.

Tonna Ritter has over 8 years of experience in the insurance industry working for top firms such as Geico and Allstate. She has been selling and servicing policies to fit individual client needs with an emphasis on long-term relationship building as well as excellent customer service.

It is important to state that it is the insured’s right to change their insurance carrier at any time for any reason. For example, changing could save money and reduce mortgage payments.  What is an escrow account? An escrow account is an account where the mortgage lender will keep a small portion of each mortgage payment and use it towards the insured’s homeowners insurance and any property taxes.
